Sempra LNG is working to bring natural gas to North America to meet the growing demand.

Natural gas is abundant in other parts of the world. That gas can be supercooled so it turns into a portable liquid, and then shipped to Sempra LNG’s receipt terminals in North America. There the LNG is turned back into gas and sent to market.

Sempra LNG is developing three receipt terminals:

• Energía Costa Azul in Baja California began commercial operations in May 2008;
• Cameron LNG in Louisiana will begin commercial operations in mid 2009; and
• Port Arthur LNG in Texas is in development.
